We are Homecare & Hospice for my parents, may the gifts we give in their honor impact countless others faced with serious illness.

When my mother was diagnosed with a serious illness, we so wished that there was somewhere to take her that had the 24 hour medical care she required, while still offering the intimate and personal experience we wanted for her. As a family caregiver, it was frightening to us to be responsible for her care and her medications. At one point, she became so frail that we were very nervous to even move her by ourselves. The simple fact of knowing that my mother was dying was difficult enough, but then to add in the stress and strain of her care, well, it was simply overwhelming. We cared for her at home, but mostly because we felt we had nowhere else to go. Shortly after my Mom died, we learned about the campaign to build the first ever hospice house in Riley County. My parents had established The Weary Family Foundation, and we thought the hospice house campaign was a perfect opportunity to donate in their memory. We initially contributed to the hospice house campaign and we were honored to name the Chapel in loving memory of my parents, Robert K. And Dale J. Weary.
After our initial donation, we were so impressed with the hospice house and with the Homecare & Hospice organization that we have continued to donate each year. To us, continuing to give just made sense. Homecare & Hospice gives so much to others and provides much needed support to families dealing with serious illness and the loss of a loved one. We know how much Homecare & Hospice depends on the generosity of the communities they serve. We feel it is important to keep this organization and The Good Shepherd Hospice House going in order to ensure that families faced with serious illness will always hav ea place to turn. Homecare & Hospice truly gives back to the community in greater measures than they receive. They provide an invaluable service and operate a wonderful facility.

We ask that you join us in continuing to support this worthy organization.

We are Dale Ann and Bob Clore and we are Homecare & Hospice.
