We Honor Veterans

America's Veterans have done everything asked of them in their mission to serve our country and we believe it is never too late to give them a hero's welcome home. Now it is time that we step up, acquire the necessary skills and fulfill our mission to serve these men and women with the dignity they deserve.

1 in every 4 dying Americans is a Veteran.

Each Veteran has a unique life story and a unique set of needs. We Honor Veterans focuses on recognizing these unique needs through respectful inquiry, compassionate listening and grateful acknowledgment. Training through the We Honor Veterans Program is teaching our staff to learn how to accompany and guide America's Veterans and their families through their life stories toward a more peaceful ending.

In addition to recognizing our Veteran clients, Homecare & Hospice now offers Vet-to-Vet Volunteers which allows for trained Veteran Volunteers to recognize and spend time with our Veteran clients.

Part of this recognition includes Veteran Pinning Ceremonies for our Veteran hospice clients. At these ceremonies Veteran Volunteers recognize and thank our Veteran clients for their service to their country. These touching ceremonies are just one small way that Homecare & Hospice is committed to saying "thank you" to our Veterans.
